The Campaign for Active Transportation Resources
Whether you represent a community that has been engaged in the campaign for some time or are interested in possibly participating, the following resources may be of help to you.
- "Active Transportation for America" report—Makes the economic case for a greater national investment in trails, walking and bicycling
- RTC maintains regular e-mail communications with communities engaged in the campaign, available in the message archives
- This map shows all the communities engaged in the campaign
- This one-page document summarizes the campaign in an easily distributed fashion
- A more generically consumable brochure of the campaign that can be personalized to your local context
- For communities in the early process of engaging in the campaign, see RTC's guidance document for steps to consider for a strong start. In particular, see Section 2B when crafting your community case statement
- Videos from inspirational speakers at RTC's TrailLink 2007 conference
- Issue briefs that help make the case for active transportation in key topic areas
As always, if you see opportunities for other resources that Rails-to-Trails Conservancy can provide, please let us know by e-mailing kartik@railstotrails.org.
