The National Transportation Alternatives Clearinghouse (NTAC)
The National Transportation Alternatives Clearinghouse (NTAC) is an information service sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration and Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. It provides professionals, policy-makers and citizens with timely and accurate information necessary to make well-informed decisions about Transportation Alternatives.
The NTAC website explains the Transportation Alternatives (TA) program, illustrates its implementation and offers free informational documents, example projects and a directory of state TA coordinators.
In particular, to aid with efforts to conceptualize the program's impact on the ground, NTAC offers a host of project examples.
