Transportation Enhancements

One of the goals of Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's (RTC) Campaign for Active Transportation is to encourage local partners to advocate for programs and policies that advance their own trail, walking and bicycling agendas. In doing so, analyses and summaries of TE spending and project lists can often help make the best possible case.

Below are four different Transportation Enhancements (TE) materials available for download. It is our hope that advocates will use these to demonstrate the monumental impact TE has had on our nation's transportation landscape during the past two decades, and the overwhelming need to preserve this wildly popular and valuable program.

Please print and distribute these materials widely—especially the project lists! The more these lists are shared, and the more everyone (including elected officials) recognize how impactful these projects are and have been, the greater their base of support becomes.

Each of the four links below will take you to a directory page, from which you can download the resources relevant to your geographic interests.

For more resources, including fact sheets on each of the 12 TE activities, please visit the National Transportation Enhancements Clearinghouse (NTEC).
