Rail-Trail Project
Ludlam Trail, Miami-Dade County

Length
7 miles

Endpoints
Dadeland North MetroRail Station to NW 12th Street

The Ludlam Trail is a major non-motorized transportation route through the urban core of Miami-Dade County. The Ludlam Trail, designed for bicycle and pedestrian activity only, would be located adjacent and parallel to the existing Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway.

The trail is approximately seven miles long running from Dadeland North MetroRail Station to NW 12th Street near Miami International Airport. It will provide a place for cyclists, walkers, runners, inline skaters and physically challenged individuals to exercise and have access to the many amenities located throughout the corridor. Trail connectivity will enhance existing recreational resources by linking neighborhoods and schools to parks, recreational centers and other facilities. It will also expand travelers' choice of transportation modes, and reduce air pollution, roadway congestion and dependency on single-occupancy automobiles.

For up-to-date information about the trail development, access the Ludlam Trail Web site.
