Where We Work

In addition to its national headquarters in Washington, D.C, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) operates regional and state offices in California, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. These satellite offices maintain close contacts with trail-building professionals and agencies at the local level, and they are often the best resource in deciding on funding options for trail projects within their region. Their on-the-ground trail and policy expertise is crucial to developing a nationwide network of rail-trails and connecting corridors.

Beyond this regional presence, we work through our national office and partners to cover trail building and advocacy in all 50 states. To learn more about trails, projects and other stories around the country, visit and explore the regional pages below, using the map above as a reference to determine regional breakdowns.
