Project Deliverables Berkeley Santa Fe ROW Vision Document
Project Description An out-of-service Santa Fe right-of-way angling through Berkeley has great potential to provide open space, urban agriculture and new pedestrian pathways to residents. RTC worked with local partners to host a community meeting and produce a vision plan for the corridor that will help frame the next steps for utilization of the space that benefits the surrounding neighborhoods and Berkeley as a whole. Progress is currently slowed due to concerns with elevated levels of arsenic in the soil, but the partners have completed a mobile mural project and formed a 'friends of' group that expects to see some ability to implement the vision in the near future.
