Project Description:
The Healthy Transportation Network provides walking and bicycling safety information—doing it safely, for everyday transportation, and in supportive environments. Along with our partner groups, RTC organizes and presents regional workshops throughout California focused on designing communities for safe walking and bicycling. The project also provides technical assistance to selected communities to guide them on implementing features that encourage walking and biking. The audiences include community members, community groups, public works officials, engineers, planners, architects, local decision-makers concerned with public safety, and local government officials and staff.
