RTC's Trail Assistance Program

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's (RTC) Northeast Regional Office has begun a Trail Assistance Program, providing small amounts of funding to rail-trail projects in Pennsylvania. The program helps trail organizations or municipalities make small improvements to their trail that volunteers cannot manage alone.

Funded projects are intended to promote the use of the trail either through an increase in users or an increase in actual trail miles, and the recipients must provide a 50-percent match. All funding for the grants comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.

Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail: $5,000 for resurfacing at drainage culvert.
