STREETS FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING: SAFE PLACES TO WALK AND BIKE

Nationwide, trail use is up by nearly 200%. Surging demand for trails and outdoor places is making it increasingly difficult for people to keep 6 feet of distance between each other, forcing trail managers and local officials to take fast action to ensure social distancing guidelines are met, including closing some trails and parks. It’s clear that every American needs safe immediate access to the outdoors—trails in every neighborhood, right now.

Nearly 10,000 people have signed a pledge calling for more space in their community. Our country’s local elected officials have the power to make this happen.
