The general fund appropriations to the State Parks Program of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department include $75,000 to support Rio Grande Trail Commission efforts to define viable path routes, mitigate challenges and establish the Rio Grande Trail to run the length of the state from Colorado to Texas. Transfers appropriations the State Parks Program of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department include $500,000 from the trail safety fund for state park operations. Any unexpended balances remaining at the end of FY 2017 from this appropriation shall revert to the trail safety fund. Read the legislation.
