This paper, while recognizing that no two regions are alike and that there is no cookie-cutter approach to developing and implementing a regional greenway system, highlights models of organization, planning, and implementation and suggests, in broad strokes, methods to achieve a regional greenway system. Specifically, the report look at models of regional greenway organization and structure; the various elements needed for a regional greenway system, such as land and money; and the process of developing a regional greenway implementation mechanism.
