Spartanburg County, SC

The Spartanburg, SC project will fund 14.6 miles of multi-use trails, creating an equitable intermodal network for active transportation,and providing sustainable transportation connections to regional job centers; schools and colleges; community centers, existing neighborhoods and new public and private housing developments; the vibrant downtown; and the city's airport, including eight census tracts designated as Areas of Persistent Poverty. It improves challenging crossings at 11 local, state and federal highways, including one major at-grade crossing with a pedestrian bridge. On-road safety measures along US 29 provide a critical link into downtown providing more sustainable transportation options.
