The Union Pacific Railroad Trail is a nine-mile multi-use trail built along a rail corridor in Fremont, California.  The City of Fremont Union Pacific Railroad Corridor Trail Feasibility Study provides extensive information on trail design and construction, including connections and accessibility to nearby trails. This report also contains a section of comprehensive section of "opportunities and constraints" that shows careful thought about potential obstacles.
