WEBINAR – TrADE Talk: Strategies for Transportation Alternatives Funding ImplementationDownload

Under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), which passed last November, the Transportation Alternatives (TA) program is set to receive a 70% increase on average over the next five years in funds that support the development of trails and active transportation infrastructure. This latest iteration of the TA program includes program innovations to help more communities access funding for the trails and active transportation networks.

In this webinar, TA managers from across the country and the authors of RTC’s annual Transportation Alternatives Spending Report shared innovative TA best practices, current trends, new provisions in the BIL, and how you can prepare for new TA funding to arrive to your state.

About TrADE

Since the inception of TE in 1991, RTC’s TrADE initiative has assisted stakeholders at the federal, state and local levels in understanding and implementing the TE/TA programs. Through technical support and the publication of our annual Transportation Alternatives Spending Report, RTC works with TA program managers, advocates and policymakers to support and promote the efficient use of these funds for trails, walking and biking. From 1996 to 2013, TrADE operated at the National Transportation Enhancements Clearinghouse as a partnership between RTC and the Federal Highway Administration.
