And the Winner of RTC’s 2015 Calendar Photo Contest Is …

RTC was ecstatic to receive more than 1,000 entries to this year’s Photo Calendar Contest, capturing the beauty and diversity of life on and around our nation’s incredible rail-trails.

We wanted it all—and our contestants gave it to us: skylines and mountain ridges; bicyclists and horseback riders; families and waterfronts; urban bustle and rural quiet.

With so many incredible photos to choose from, it was a really difficult decision, but we finally settled on one Grand Prize Winner—whose photo will be published in the October feature space of our 30th Anniversary Special Edition Rail-Trail Calendar, and three Runners-Up! Congratulations!

Each of our winners will receive an RTC Gift Pack, which will include: a 2016 Rail-Trail Calendar, a one-year membership (or membership renewal) to Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a bike badge, a bottle opener and a Share the Trail sticker. The photos submitted by our runners-up will also be published in smaller form in the back section of our 2016 calendar.

We also want to give a real big shout-out to all our contestants: Your passion for trails—and great eye for great shots—were evident through and through. We are so glad you are part of the rail-trail community!

If you haven’t already, take a look at all the incredibly entries we received this year!

Thanks to everyone who entered for helping to make this contest a success!
