Ask Me Anything: RTC President Ryan Chao and Midwest Director Eric Oberg Chat Trails, Tourism and Transportation

Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3, 2019, was a very big day for the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) team.
On this global celebration of organizations and people who are making a difference, it only seemed fitting that RTC was in Milwaukee celebrating the transformative impact of the trails movement and its champions.

Since the trails movement wouldn’t be possible without you—the trail users, advocates and supporters—we wanted to make sure you were part of this special day. That’s why we invited you to send us your questions and thoughts about what’s happening with trails and active transportation, so we could chat and celebrate together.
Through a special live-streamed Ask Me Anything-style conversation, we caught up with Ryan Chao, president of team RTC, and Eric Oberg, director of trail development for the Midwest Regional Office. Thank you to those of you who submitted questions in advance!
Check out the video to explore everything from starting a trail project to finding brews on the trail, to the nuts and bolts of what RTC does and the future of active transportation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Dec. 3 and made Giving Tuesday such as success!
