TA Program Structure, Policies, and Procedures
- Application timeline: Spring 2025. Please see website for more information.
- TA program structure: The program is run through a state-level TA office
- Who is eligible to apply: Local governments, regional transportation authorities, transit agencies, natural resource or public land agencies, school districts, tribal governments, non-profit organizations and any other entity with responsibility for oversite of transportation or recreational trails
- Application components: Project sponsor; TA eligibility; project description and implementation plan; cost estimate; right of way; indication of public involvement; identify land own, existing utilities, and cultural or environmental resources within ROW; life expectancy of project, environmental justice considerations
- Selection criteria: Promotes safety, increases local transportation options, provides community enhancements, local commitment, environmental justice
- Is there an advisory committee?: No. Projects are reviewed by the ALDOT Local Transportation Bureau and ALDOT Region staff
- Project award minimum: None
- Project award maximum: $1,000,000
- Match requirement: 20%
