John Glodek is a visionary physical educator whose 20+ year career reflects an unwavering commitment to wellness, innovation and equity. At Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, he has transformed physical education through Outride’s Riding for Focus Program, inspiring students and educators nationwide. His leadership, creativity and dedication to inclusive, engaging learning helped him earn SHAPE Maryland’s 2025 Middle School PE Teacher of the Year.
