Since 2015, our partners at REI Co-op have inspired millions of people to #OptOutside. On Friday, Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving, celebrate a decade of choosing to get outside by joining us on America’s trails!

Trails are an important part of our everyday lives and communities. However you choose to get outside on trails—to walk, run, ride or simply be outdoors—these spaces are vital to the well-being of people and places. By spending time on trails, you’re showing that they’re meaningful to you, and that’s why we hope we’ll see you out there!

Spending time outside on trails is always an act of advocacy. But, on Friday, Nov. 28, use your time outside as a reason to tell your elected officials that trails are essential for you and your community. Right now, decisions are being made that will affect the future of programs that provide most of the funding for the country’s trails—and state and federal officials will have a big influence. Send a message sharing why trails matter to you and why your elected officials should prioritize safe spaces to walk, bike and access the outdoors where you live. Share your story now.
