Trails To Explore Near Portland

Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade | Central Eastside 

This 1.5-mile trail traces Portland’s Willamette River, offering views of the river, downtown and public art. 

Springwater Corridor | Hosford-Abernethy 

This 21-mile trail, which follows the banks of the Willamette River is part of a 40-mile regional trail system encircling greater Portland, connecting neighborhoods, industrial districts, and natural areas.  

Terwilliger Trail | Homestead 

This paved trail runs from southern Portland to Lake Oswego in two disconnected segments, leading from a busy commercial area to the heavy tree canopy of Tryon Creek State Park.  

Highway 26 Bike Path | Sylvan Highlands 

This paved commuter route parallels Highway 26, with access points to shopping, schools, the Oregon Zoo, Hoyt Arboretum and Washington Park.  

I-205 Multiuse Trail | Russellville 

This path spans 18.5 miles through five cities and 15 neighborhoods paralleling I-205 and featuring public art and topiary along the way that’s a destination in and of itself.
