Trails To Explore Near Seattle

SR 520 Trail | Montlake

Running 2.7 miles across Lake Washington, this trail is an important asset to commuters while simultaneously providing scenic views of the water, the Seattle skyline and on clear days, Mount Rainier.

Interurban Trail North | Westlake

This 24-mile trail runs between Seattle and Everett, stitching together dense residential and commercial areas. The nearly 10-foot-wide path reaches a malls, a casino and an abandoned drive-in theater, among other businesses.

Elliot Bay Trail | Belltown

Art, history and a wide variety of outdoor activities can be found along this 3.4-mile-long trail. Sometimes referred to as the Terminal 91 Bike Path, this trail is a commuter destination with bridge connections to the city streets.

I-90 Trail | Atlantic

This trail offers a 10-mile journey from Seattle to Bellevue, crossing Lake Washington by the box girder East Channel Bridge and the floating Homer M. Hadley Memorial Bridge. The route features parks, a separated tunnel and scenic views with minimal highway exposure.

Alki Trail | Industrial District West

This 5.5-mile trail follows West Seattle’s shore along Alki Avenue with separate bike and walking lanes. Beaches and greenspaces can be accessed via the trail.
