Capital Crescent Trail | Georgetown

Stretching 12.7 miles, this paved trail provides a natural oasis from urban life as it stretches between Washington, D.C., and the Maryland suburbs, and serves as a segment of RTC’s cross-country Great American Rail-Trail.

Rock Creek Park Trails | Woodley Park

Traversing the outskirts of Georgetown through D.C.’s northwestern neighborhoods, Rock Creek Park offers 8.5 miles of paved multiuse trails alongside dirt trails for hiking through the oldest and largest urban park in the national park system.

Metropolitan Branch Trail | NOMA

This paved, nearly 8-mile trail connects Union Station, historic D.C. neighborhoods, and Silver Spring, celebrating the city’s rich culture while providing access to the entire DMV with Metro access points along the way.

Anacostia River Trail | Navy Yard

Winding from Maryland into southeast D.C., this 21.5-mile trail offers a mix of surfaces from asphalt to boardwalks and brick, connecting parks, sports fields and landmarks.

Capital Trails Network | Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Region

This developing trail network will connect nearly 1,000 miles of multiuse trails across D.C., Maryland and Virginia, providing seamless walking and biking access across the region and serving as a national model for trail development that prioritizes equity.
